Learn About Holy Incarnation

LINCOLN PARK, Mich -- Holy Incarnation Orthodox Church, a new English speaking Orthodox Christian parish at 1385 Goddard Road, will host an open house on Sunday, March 29 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The open house will showcase the church's newly redecorated sanctuary, said the Rev. John W. Fenton, pastor of Holy Incarnation.

Keith M. Steffke and Walter J. Froehlich of E&W Cabinet, Romulus, designed and constructed a unique formal worship space conducive to the needs of the Western Orthodox parish, Fr. Fenton said.

"We are very excited about the improvements to our worship space," Fr. Fenton said. "This project has given us a new look, and the entire feel of the inside of the building has become more conducive to prayer. So we are inviting the public to see our progress."

The open house will be preceded by the regular Sunday morning worship services, including the Divine Liturgy, which begins at 9 a.m. The open house will conclude with Vespers, a brief evening prayer service.

Holy Incarnation was established by the Self-Ruled Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America in 2007 as a Western Rite parish to minister to English-speaking Orthodox Christians in the Downriver area. All liturgical services are in English and conform to the ancient Western (Latin) worship. The parish purchased its facility on Goddard Road in February 2008.
